About the stay

From the moment you check in, you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings, take a walk in the castle garden or perhaps book a guided historical tour of Schackenborg Castle. The beautiful Møgeltønder Church is also an impressive sight and is just a short walk from us.

Dinner is to be enjoyed at Slotskroen and consists of a 2-course menu, and after a good night's sleep in our carefully restored rooms, a hearty breakfast buffet awaits with South Jutland specialties, coffee, juice, etc.

If you have received a gift card for Schackenborg Slotskro, this can be used for full or partial payment for your stay or purchases in the Slotskroen restaurant or the pop-up restaurant in Slotshaven Herskabsstalden. Please state your gift card when ordering to reception or the waiter of the day.

The reservation can be canceled free of charge up to 48 hours before arrival. If there are less than 48 hours to arrival, a fee corresponding to the first night's accommodation price will be charged. Any additional nights will be canceled without charge. If you have booked 5 rooms or more, the cancellation deadline is 7 days before arrival, unless otherwise agreed.

At Schackenborg we offer gastronomic experiences at our two restaurants:

Slotskroen's restaurant offers delicious lunches, afternoon coffee and homemade cakes, as well as an exciting á la carte Brasserie menu. Furthermore, our 5-7 gourmet servings can be enjoyed here from Thursday to Saturday.

Herskabstalden are located in the beautiful Castle Gardens and are open seasonally. The Manor Stables can be booked for events all year round.
