On the beautiful cobblestone Slotsgade, where ducks wander during the day and old lanterns illuminate the night, is Schackenborg Slotskro, privileged since 1687 with Schackenborg Castle as its closest neighbor. Our facilities
Schackenborg Slotskro reopened after extensive renovations in October 2021 and is now operated by the Schackenborg Foundation, just like the castle and the farm. Today, we offer 20 rooms and 3 newly refurbished apartments on the picturesque Slotsgade, where you can find peace and gather new inspiration for upcoming professional projects.
Our meeting rooms in the travel stable and manor stable are equipped with modern AV equipment and carefully furnished with new furniture in the atmospheric and historic setting. Lean back and enjoy the day in good company with fantastic food served in delightful surroundings at the inn or in the peaceful garden.
The style at Schackenborg Slotskro is simple and tasteful, inspired by the French cuisine, and the food is largely prepared with local ingredients. In the evening, we serve menus and individual dishes at the inn. Did you know that we can also help you organize fun team-building activities with a professional instructor in the castle garden, guided tours of the beautiful white castle, under the open sky in nature on dikes and hiking trails in Tøndermarsken, or put on your rubber boots and join us for an exciting oyster hunt in the Wadden Sea National Park.
We can also recommend clay pigeon shooting at the shooting range in Galgemark – ideal for a fun team competition that also requires concentration and precision. Or head to Rømø and let the wind catch the sail in the land yacht, and feel the rush as you race along the beach on the Wadden Sea island.
