The board is pleased to announce that Allan Nielsen assumes the position of CEO in the Schackenborg Foundation today, June 1, 2022.
Allan Nielsen (53) most recently held the position of Division Director at Forenede Service, responsible for the operation of over 400 properties nationwide. Allan Nielsen has a long career with extensive experience in leadership roles within the tourism, service, and hotel industries in Denmark and Sweden. Among other positions, Allan Nielsen served as the director of Hotel Britannia (Esbjerg) for four successful years. Additionally, he previously worked as the Vice President of Human Resources at Dagrofa.
Allan Nielsen holds a Master’s degree in Business Economics from Aarhus Business School. He resides in Esbjerg with his family.

At the same time, the board is pleased that interim CEO Kjeld Kückelhahn, as of June 1, will extend his engagement in Schackenborg until September 30 this year. Kjeld Kückelhahn will continue in a new role as Project Manager, reporting to Allan Nielsen.
The leadership and staff of Schackenborg Foundation are excited to welcome guests over the summer to the beautifully renovated Slotskro and Herskabsstald.
During the summer, Schackenborg will open its doors for concerts, including performances by Livgardens Musikkorps on July 30 and Schackenborg Musikfest with exciting concerts from August 11-14.
