We can hardly think of anything more Christmassy than when the fantastic choir Gospel D'Light, led by conductor Ole Jørgensen, gives a Christmas concert in Møgeltønder Church on Sunday 8 December at 14.00 You mustn't cheat yourself to experience both the Danish Christmas carols and Christmas classics from both home and abroad performed by some of the region's very best gospel singers.

Gospel D'Light is known for delivering a pompous and almost symphonic sound universe with lots of joy and energy - therefore it is almost impossible not to sing along when Gospel D'Light occupies the church space. Take your family, neighbors or friends under your arm and buy tickets already now.

There is a risk that you will get into the right Christmas mood :)

As tradition dictates, the first wind of the year is released on the third Thursday in November, and of course it must be celebrated!
We invite you to an exclusive Winemakers Dinner in collaboration with Sigurd Müller Vinhandel A/S, from which, Niels Chr. Lasota will present a range of wines directly from the wine cellars of Beaujolais.
The event starts in the Spisesalen at Schackenborg, where we welcome you with a glass of wine and light snacks. Here, Niels Chr. Lasota presents this year's harvest and shares his expectations for the vintage in a historically beautiful setting.
Afterwards, we take a short walk to Schackenborg Slotskro, where you will enjoy an exquisite dinner consisting of 5 courses, carefully composed to complement the selected wines. Niels Chr. Lasota will present the wines and share interesting anecdotes.
The dinner follows the concept of "social dining", and if you still want to sit near friends or acquaintances, we are happy to accommodate this as far as possible.

Lecture with Wegner Prize recipient 2024, Teis Dich Abrahamsen about his life with wooden play.
He was trained as a cabinetmaker and conservator in 1983, and today his cabinetmaking work and bowling alleys are exhibited, among other things. at the Design Museum Denmark at the same time as he is dedicated to his conservation tasks. Physical examples of works are included and presented such as “Madness”. Afterwards, an evening meal with local ingredients and a glass of wine is served.

Masks in Marsken embraces the love of knitting and what it can do for our inner peace, combined with the unique and beautiful nature of Tøndermarsken.

Masker i Marsken is a Southern Jutland knitting festival which brings together knitters, yarn dealers, workshop and lecturers and other yarn lovers. Part of the festival's events take place in the Riddersalen at Schackenborg Castle and in the Herskabsstalden.

An evening of poetry and music in unique surroundings at Schackenborg Castle

On Thursday 31 October, an unforgettable evening awaits in the company of the poet Flemming Jakobsen and the music trio TideVand. Together they create a unique interplay between poetry and music, where Flemming's poems are given new life through his background stories and TideVand's musical interpretations. The evening marks the publication of Flemming Jakobsen's second poetry collection 'Notes', which can be purchased with signature.

We look forward to welcoming you to an evening full of artistic immersion and musical magic at Schackenborg Castle.

Schackenborg Musikfest is a world-class chamber music festival that takes place in the borderland between Denmark and Germany, on the border between Denmark and Germany.​

Launched in 2021, the music festival has been praised by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung for its high energy, artistic quality and its risk-taking artistic ambitions.

The 2024 edition offers 5 concerts, 20 composers and 11 artists, including the fabulous duo of mezzo-soprano Lea Desandre and lutenist Thomas Dunford, who are visiting us from Paris for an idyllic program in the perfect acoustics of Møgeltønder Church. The inspirational violinist Julia Pusker, winner of the Queen Elizabeth Competition, joins us from Hungary. Denmark will be represented by the excellent young violist Nicholas Algot Swensen, as well as by the beloved pianist Katrine Gislinge, who will enchant the Palace Hall with a special evening dedicated to the piano. Our artistic directors, the Danish Clarinet Trio, will be with other guests at the opening and closing concerts.
