About the stay

As the light returns and spring stirs in the marshland, we open the doors to a truly special stay.

Here you get up close to castle history, nature and local culture.
The stay begins with royal stories at Schackenborg Castle, continues with a flavourful 3-course dinner at the Castle Inn, and concludes with an overnight stay in one of the charming houses on Slotsgade.
All of it set in the heart of historic Møgeltønder and close to the South Jutland countryside, which truly awakens in March and June.

If you have received a gift certificate for Schackenborg Slotskro, this can be used to pay in full or in part for your stay or purchase in the restaurant Slotskroen or the pop-up restaurant in Slotshaven Herskabsstalden. Please mention your gift certificate when ordering to the reception or the waiter of the day.

The reservation can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before arrival. If there are less than 48 hours until arrival, a fee equivalent to the first night's accommodation price will be charged. Any additional nights will be cancelled free of charge. If you have booked 5 rooms or more, the cancellation deadline is 7 days before arrival unless otherwise agreed.

At Schackenborg we offer gastronomic experiences at our two restaurants:

Slotskroen's restaurant offers delicious lunches, afternoon coffee and homemade cakes, as well as an exciting á la carte Brasserie menu. Furthermore, our 5-7 gourmet servings can be enjoyed here from Thursday to Saturday.

The Manor Stables is located in the beautiful Castle Gardens and is open seasonally. The Manor Stables can be booked for events all year round.
