A stay at Schackenborg Slotskro gives you time to slow down, enjoy the historic surroundings and discover some of the unique experiences the Tønder area has to offer.

If you arrive on a weekday, we also invite you to visit Museum Wegner with complimentary admission. The museum is beautifully situated at Hestholm, a historic marshland farm near Tønder.

Here, you can discover Hans J. Wegner’s iconic furniture, explore his design process and gain insight into the ideas, materials and craftsmanship that made him one of Denmark’s most celebrated designers. The museum features both permanent exhibitions and changing special exhibitions, offering new perspectives on Wegner’s design universe.

After a day of experiences, return to Schackenborg Slotskro, where gastronomy, warm hospitality and comfort set the scene for the rest of your stay. Take time to enjoy the special tranquillity of autumn and end the day in historic surroundings.
